This is a genuine, (i.e; not a photocopy or download) Porsche Technical Manual Supplement (Number 98) for the Porsche 911 Carrera and GT3. This NOT a complete workshop manual. It is a factory published supplement; supposed to be installed in the Master manual and it updates repair procedures. These supplement sections deal with production modifications, later model cars, and problems that have been noted as common in the vehicle service and repair history. The manual describes all the operations for which special instructions (and/or special tools) are needed; and as such; is essential for all Porsche 911  mechanics, restorers and enthusiasts.


These supplements were supplied by the factory to Dealerships, and were intended for use exclusively, by Porsche dealership service departments. These were used as reference by Certified Porsche Technicians, were never made available to the general public. This original manual is dated 2005. It is over 175 pages, held together by staples. It has 4 holes in each page, so that it can be installed in a binder.

Separate sections cover updated information on the following components:
  • Engine; Removing and Installing Engine- 911 and GT3 - Removing and Installing crankcase sealing ring. 
  • Leak test for exhaust system
  • Bleeding the clutch system 
  • Body gap dimensions - good for checking if a car has been accident damaged.
  • Replacing Roof
  • Removal and installation Sliding Roof

New Jaguar XE launch – watch it LIVE on Cars UK (below) The new Jaguar XE launch is finally upon us, and you can tune in to Cars UK live at 7.15pm UK time (2.15pm EDT) to see exactly what Jaguar’s take on the BMW 3 Series has to offer. Despite tonight being the official reveal, we already know quite a bit about the new XE. Underpinning the new XE will be Jaguar’s new aluminium iQ Al platform – which will also underpin the Jaguar SUV when that arrives – promising less weight than the 3 Series and better economy thanks to its lower weight.

Production of the revised, and Lotus-tuned, TF roadster has slipped back into 2008. CAR Online was told in May that the car would start to roll off the Longbridge line in September 2007, but the roadster's journey back from its deathbed has taken another twist.
