I have up for auction a 1978 PONTIAC 400 Original General Motors Rochester Carburetor. This carb would have been correct for a Firebird or Trans am with the Pontiac 400 engine. Also, said to have been used on 77 and 79 Pontiac 400 engines too. This is a hard carb to come across. Carb is used and Super clean original condition and all parts move freely. See Pictures and judge for yourself. The numbers on this carb are: 17058264 3187 CHM Will work on other Pontiac GM engines too, Grand Am, Grand Prix, Lemans, GTO, Tempest, Firebird, Trans Am, Esprit, Formula, T-37, etc., w/ 350, 400 & 455. This carb is being sold as is , for parts or rebuilder. I recommend a rebuild on all carbs before using if perfection is desired. Mercedes S-Class production increased to meet demand
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Mercedes S-Class production increased We’ve reported recently on the strong sales Mercedes is enjoying with the new A-Class (and its swoopy-coupe sibling CLA), but it’s not just Mercedes compact cars that are flying out of showrooms. Mercedes has revealed it’s having to increase production at its plant in Sindelfingen by prolonging shifts by 74 minutes (after increasing them by 30 minutes earlier this year) in order to churn out enough S-Class cars to meet strong demand. But it’s not just the S-Class (as well as the A-Class cars) that are selling strongly, Mercedes are also upping production at Bremen to build more GLK and C-Class models.
One in six drivers 'top 100mph'
Mon, 10 Mar 2014ONE IN SIX (17%) of drivers admits to driving at more than 100mph on the motorway regularly in the UK, even though the speed limit is 70mph. More than twice that number (38%) own up to driving at above 90mph, while 11% say they speed at 50mph or more in residential and urban areas where there is a 30mph speed limit. Research by Direct Line shows 61% of drivers have also exceeded the 20mph limit.

In fact, not only does the Beetle refuse to go away, it’s selling better than the ‘old’ Beetle ever did, with 230,000 Beetles built since the Beetle was revived eight years ago, only 100,000 fewer than the old Beetle sold in its 31 year history. And the new VW Beetle promises to be more appealing than the first iterations of VW’s revival of the Beetle, with their strapline for the latest model setting out its intentions clearly: ‘Less Flower – More Power’.
