Mercedes R Class - dropped in the USA Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it will debut the new Mercedes GL at the New York Auto Show in April, and the R Class is being dropped from the US. The big Mercedes GL SUV has been around for a while now, and we’ve been expecting a facelift version to arrive for a while. But reports are now saying that the new GL won’t be a mild facelift but an all new model.

It's a month before the Geneva motor show and amongst the usual pre Motor Show commotion I receive a string of cryptic emails about an Infiniti electric sports car concept. The name Emerg-e is only revealed as I drive to the secret preview at Park Royal Studios in West London to meet the big three in design – global design director Shiro Nakamura, Francois Bancon of advanced design and head of Nissan Design Europe Victor Nacif. This is clearly a critical car for Infiniti.

Chrysler CEO vows never to repeat mistakes from Cherokee launch

Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne acknowledged mistakes in the way the company developed and launched the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, and vowed to never repeat them. "What we've learned is that we'll never repeat it. We're never going to take a plant down and be out of the market for over a year," Marchionne told analysts in a conference call today.
