Pumpkin-carving ideas for Porsche fans and other car geeks
Fri, 21 Oct 2011As Halloween approaches, most of you are probably asking the all-important question: "What kind of cool, car-related pumpkin carving can I do?" The folks over at PorschePurist have the answer: a Porsche jack-o'-lantern. All you need is a pumpkin big enough for some detailed carving work, a template or two and a steady hand. Peugeot 308 CC (2008): first photos
Fri, 11 Jul 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 11 July 2008 09:26 Peugeot – the pioneer of folding hard tops – today unveils the new 308 CC. It's not a radical coupe cabriolet, but it's a gentle evolution of the 307 CC blueprint: a four-seater family hatch turned convertible. The French company invented the first production opening metal roof back in the 1930s, after a few coachbuilders toyed with low-volume concepts, and then brought them to the mainstream with the 206 CC in 2001. The new 308 CC follows the same formula with a metal roof that somersaults into its loadbed in 20 seconds to leave a completely flat (if long) rear deck.Gobbling boot space as it goes?Naturally, the boot shrinks when the roof is lowered, dipping from 465 litres to 266 when it's stowed.
Thinking Automotive Design 2011
Wed, 02 Nov 2011The largest and most important education and research institution of Brazil, the University of São Paulo (USP), has a long tradition of teaching architecture and urban planning through a strong Modernist root. At the same time, the progressiveness of the academic structure always allowed students to take many different directions and the school became reference to art and design education. Graphic and product design disciplines were always part of the long curriculum of the school of architecture and urbanism (FAU USP), but only five years ago an independent design course was created.
