Ness Big Sucker air cleaner kits are all about style and
performance! Big Sucker kits are available in various fitments, stages,
styles, finishes, air filter types, and with or without faceplate
covers. Stage 1 kits can increase power up to 19% and Stage 2 kits up to
21%. Stage 2 kits have a high flow air filter that is 20% larger than
Stage 1. Both stage size high flow air filters are available in either
the standard pleated type or the new "SS" stainless steel mesh jacketed
pleated type. All Ness High Flow air filters are re-chargeable,
pre-oiled, and ready for install. Big Sucker kits are available with
different backing plate finishes; satin, chrome, and black wrinkle
powdercoat. Big Sucker kits are also available with or without a
faceplate cover. Faceplate covers come in various styles and finishes
and are also available separately. For the newest Big Sucker style, see
the Derby Sucker, which allows the use of any Twin Cam derby cover as a
faceplate cover for the ultimate in custom styling.
All Big
Sucker kits feature an all-in-one backing plate with a built-in carb
support and built-in breather tunnels at each head to decrease crankcase
pressure. Each tunnel exits at the mount of the carburetor to create a
virtually closed-loop system. Breathers feature o-ring banjo bolt seals
and a radiused intake manifold. No oil hoses, no oil fittings, no
leaking and no mess! All Big Sucker kits include a "Big Sucker" aluminum
backing plate, a Ness High Flow air filter, chrome banjo bolts, simple
instructions, and all necessary mounting hardware. Big Sucker kits can
be run with or without an outer cover. If an outer cover is desired,
Stage 1 kits accept 1993 and up round and oval OEM or aftermarket outer
covers, and Stage 2 kits require an 8" round OEM or aftermarket outer
cover. Big Sucker kits for Sportsters and 2008 to present Dyna models will not accept OEM outer cover.
Big Sucker kits will not fit HD 103” billet heads. Big Sucker kits will
fit aftermarket carbs with additional adapters (not included).
This Big Sucker kit is Stage 2 with standard air filter, chrome backing plate, and a smooth chrome steel faceplate cover. It is made to fit CV carb and cable
throttle control Delphi EFI. Ness part # 18-783.

Design Review: Audi Nuvolari quattro concept
Tue, 04 Mar 2003Hot on the heels of the Pikes Peak study at Detroit in January, Audi today unveiled the Nuvolari quattro four-wheel drive concept vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show. In contrast to the Pikes Peak crossover SUV concept, with the Nuvolari, Audi's designers have created a classic, high-powered 2+2 GT coupe. It's certainly powerful: a 5.0-litre V10 biturbo with FSI direct fuel injection with 600ps and a 0-100km/h time of 4.1 seconds means it's the most powerful roadgoing Audi engine ever developed.
