Mercedes CL63 AMG & CL65 AMG 2011 leak out

The 2010 / 2011 Mercedes CL65 AMG We had the first picture of the 2011 Mercedes CL AMG a few weeks back, which prompted Mercedes to get their act together on the 2010 / 2011 CL Facelift details and ship those out to us ahead of the offficial debut at Goodwood last weekend. But what Mercedes didn’t send us were photos of the CL63 AMG or the CL65 AMG. And they said that both AMG models would be available by special order.

Father's Day weekend started off in southeast Michigan with a string of auto-related events for the revelry of designers and car enthusiasts alike. EyesOn Design opened on Thursday, delving into automotive art with a designers' night at Lawrence Technological University. Powered by a 168bhp version of VW’s ubiquitous common rail 2.0-litre turbodiesel four it sprints to 62mph in just 8.1sec compared with 7.1sec for the 207bhp petrol GTi and its 136mph top speed falls 12mph short. But with 256lb ft of torque (the GTi makes do with 207lb ft) on hand, the diesel should have the upper hand in mid-range performance.
