FAQ/What is meant by "Beam Pattern"?
Our lights come in 3 different configurations: Spot,  Flood, or a Combination of both.
A spot beam produces a cone of light in a narrow 8o - 10o spread (depending on the exact light). This is good for specific task type lighting, or additional visibility when driving at night.
A flood beam produces a cone of light in a wide 90o spread. This is good for general work lighting, lighting up an off road trail that may have overhead tree limbs that you want to see, etc.
A combination combines these both. They have lights on the outside of the bar that produce a flood pattern while the inner lights produce a spot pattern. If you've ever been to Bonneville during Speed Week, you know what a thrilling corner of the motorsports world the place occupies: standing out on the endless, blazing-white expanse of salt, hearing the cars before you see them, seeing first the roostertail of salt rocketed into the air, then the tallest part of the rear fin, then the car itself, blasting over the curvature of the Earth, followed by engine cutoff, popping chutes, deceleration and the giddy celebration of driver and crew as yet another record falls. But most people -- those with jobs, kids, responsibilities (where are your priorities, people???) -- will never get a chance to go. So this year, the Southern California Timing Association has made a deal to broadcast audio of the entire Speed Week live, as it happens, direct from the salt, on the fabulous internet.

Mercedes-Benz A-class gets the AMG treatment

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed limited details about its most affordable performance model to date, the A45 AMG. Set to go on sale in Europe in early 2013, the rival to the Audi RS3 and the BMW M135i sits at the top of the third-generation A-class lineup. The price, although not yet officially revealed, is expected to start at about 50,000 euros, or $62,400 at current exchange rates).
