Mazda SkyActiv technology goes on offer to raise funds

Mazda isn’t having the best of times at the moment, despite an impressive range of cars that are getting more interesting with Mazda’s SkyActiv technology, and are predicting that they will post a loss of around £750 million for the current financial year. There are a variety of reasons for Mazda’s financial predicament – including the strength of the Yen and the production problems after the Japanese Tsunami – but this is the fourth year in a row Mazda has posted losses.

Tue, 11 Mar 2014-- Thierry Neuville was somewhere on his way back to the pits after finishing the final stage of the WRC Mexico when his Hyundai i20 rally car sprung a leak: The hole in the radiator was bleeding coolant at a frightening rate. If Neuville didn't make the 33 kilometers back, he would lose his second place standing behind Volkswagen and all would be lost. (Alas, them's the breaks in the sometimes-quixotic rulebook of the World Rally Championship.) Well, lucky for Neuville, his sponsors at Corona had presented him with a massive bottle of beer, which he then proceeded to pour into the radiator.
Formula E Electric Racers Move Closer To The Starting Grid
Mon, 19 May 2014WITH the FIA Formula E Championship building up to the new competition’s first race in Beijing, China, on 13 September 2014, the first batch of electric Spark-Renault racing cars have now been delivered to the competing teams. The handover took place at the series’ new premises at the well-known Donington race track. Alain Prost, co-director of the French team E-Dams, and also an ambassador for Renault, was at the circuit for this landmark delivery.
