This is an Original 1918 Automobile Trade Directory, (copyright July 1918 by The Class Journal Company), a 770 page hard back book of all sorts of useful information, data and parts source from yesteryear. This authentic and vintage book was THE leading parts directory on automobiles!   This book was published by the Chiltons "Class" Publishing Company, who started printing automobile publications way back in 1885! The Chilton Company would eventually buy out the rights to use the name Motor Age Magazine, and started publishing the Motor Age line of auto manuals & books in 1922.   This book has all the companies associated with making all parts back in the 1910s to1920's! Report: Teen driving deaths increase in 2012
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Deaths among new drivers in the beginning of 2012 increased 19 percent, according to a report from the Governors Highway Safety Association. Overall, 16- and 17-year-old driver deaths increased from 202 to 240. The report is based on preliminary data from all 50 states and the District of Columbia for the first six months of 2012.

Fri, 22 Feb 2013This, remarkably, is the production version of the Volkswagen XL1, the most fuel-efficient production car in the world, a car we'll see in Geneva in a little over a week. Barely changed from the concept version shown at the Qatar motor show two years ago, the production XL1 is the first production result of VW's 1-liter project – to design a car that uses less than 1l/100km (282.5mpg imperial) – that started with the lozenge-shaped, tandem-seat 2003 1L and the later L1 of 2009. The XL1 actually beats that by sipping just 0.9 liters with CO2 emissions of 21g/km.
