Anderson, Indiana, United States
1920's. Never used! It's had light grinding on the surface in a few spits outside, but was never polished.<br>
Brand:Laurel Motors. Roof 8 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Surface Finish:Cast aluminum.

This will be my last attempt at selling this piece. At a lower starting price. Make me an offer if your interested! This piece has some spots of light grinding from the factory on the outside surface. And I think if it had left the foundry, it may have been polished. But it was never used on the Roof 8 engine. This cast aluminum valve cover was made at Yattaw Foundry in Anderson, Ind. 19 1/4" long, 5 3/8" wide, and 4 1/4" tall. It was made for Laurel Motors Corp., to go on a Robert Roof 8 motor. No defects at all that would affect the performance or value of the piece. Such as cracks, or broken pieces. Roof made performance parts in the early years of racing automobiles. 1920's. Mainly Ford Model A, and Model T's. You could take any stock motor, and make a race car out of it with his speed parts! I consider Robert Roof as a genious when it comes to automobiles! This piece was never used, and is very rare! I've collected Anderson, In. memorabilia for over 30 years, and I have never seen another one anywhere. R&R Mfg. racing performance parts have sold for big bucks in the past. Don't miss your chance to get this "rare" piece of automotive history? I've had it for quite a few years, but I'm thinning out my collection to concentrate on Anderson, Indiana soda collectibles. Contact me with any questions. I'll answer them if I can. Buyer pays actual Priority Shipping in the U.S. Free local pick up in Anderson, In.

* If this doesn't get any bids the first time around, I will relist, and take offers! Thanks for looking.

Jaguar slashes prices – in Australia

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

Jaguar has slashed prices across its range in Australia – by as much as £40,000 – as it fights for a bigger market share. But there’s also a feeling that all those years of protectionist import tariffs have inured Australians to the high price of luxury cars, and that car makers take advantage of that by keeping prices high, regardless of the level of taxes imposed on their products. That means something like a Rolls Royce Phantom costs £650k and a Porsche 911 starts at £150k.
