This is a vintage SLOW Tail Light that would have been used on an early (1920's or early 1930's) automobile or motorcycle. The glass lens has some cracks and glass loss.  It also has a small round red glass lens on the bottom which is in good condition.  The metal frame is free of dents, but does have some paint loss.  The item is approximately 7 and 1/2 inches in wide and is spring loaded and pivots.  I did not attempt to clean or polish this item.  Postage in the 48 states will be $10.  It will be well padded for a safe shipment.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I will ship to the U.S. only.  Thanks!

SAE approves new fast-charging standard for EVs, plug-ins

Tue, 16 Oct 2012

SAE International said it has approved a new technical standard that will dramatically reduce charging times for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and electric vehicles. The global engineering group said the new charging standard, developed with the cooperation of more than 190 automakers, utilities and equipment builders, will allow charging times to be reduced from as long as eight hours to as short as 20 minutes. Automakers want DC direct charging to take less than 10 minutes, or roughly the time it takes to fill a tank with gasoline. The goal is to accommodate currents as high as 500 volts distributed from public charging stations.

Attendees can tour the Barton 1792 Distillery and play golf with Kirk Bennion. Wilmer Cooksey Jr.
