Up for auction is a beautiful inside hand painted Chinese snuff bottle. Hand painted on the inside of the bottle between January 2000 and December 2002. Measuring 3 1/4 inches tall and seal signed by the master artist. Complete with a hand carved  spoon attached to the inside removable semi precious stone top of the bottle. The bottle comes from my Uncles private estate collection and was special ordered by the him. This is not a mass produced bottle. Only two of any scene were ever painted. Inside painted or sometimes called reverse painted bottles are beautiful masterpieces that are painstakingly done inside the bottle through the small opening at the top of the bottle. The artist takes a fine sliver of bamboo, used as a paint brush, bends one end and applies the color of paint needed at that time. They then insert the bamboo sliver into the top of the bottle and paint on the glass inside the bottle. Hours and sometimes days go into a single painting. One mistake and the bottle is destroyed. The artwork is incredible to say the least. Please note that the bottle is not meant to hold anything due to the fact that the painting might be damaged if it would come into contact with liquids or other matter. ---       si

Nowhere near enough General Motors bondholders agreed to exchange their debt for stock before a midnight Tuesday deadline, making a bankruptcy filing by the automaker highly likely. GM had set a threshold of 90 percent of the $27 billion in bond debt it wanted to exchange for 10 percent of the stock in a reorganized company for the deal to take place. In a statement Wednesday, GM said the amount of notes tendered was substantially less than the 90 percent target.
