Survey Claims Parents Are Behaving Badly Outside The School Gates

TENSIONS are rising outside school gates up and down the country - that’s the picture painted by the latest survey from insurance company Allianz Your Cover. School-run squabbles over parking spots are on the increase, with as many as 75% of people taking children to or from school have witnessed aggressive behaviour among those seeking to park. Nearly two in five have seen or heard about car accidents between parents outside school gates.

Concept Car of the Week: Honda Unibox (2001)

The Tokyo motor show is famous for unusual concepts and the 2001 edition didn't disappoint, featuring some of the weirdest yet. VW are revealing the 2010 Touareg at the Detroit Motor Show including a BlueMotion Hybrid VW are taking the whole ‘Eco’ game seriously. They are rolling out ‘BlueMotion’ versions of cars across the range at regular intervals, the most recent being the sub 100g/km Golf BlueMotion. But most of these are tweaks to the suspension, aerodynamics and ECU of existing diesels to coax the best returns on emissions and economy.
