Offered for sale is a restored 1928/29 Briggs and Stratton Electrolock pop out ignition switch for Model A Ford passenger car or truck. This is a original pop out ignition switch installed in vehicles manufactured between June 1928 and May 1929.  I have completely refurbished this switch, including wiring, nickel and cadmium plating, and painting using the current MAFCA Judging Standards as a guide. This ignition switch comes complete with two keys, one original A numbered.  Please note the cable has the correct cadmium plated cast clamp and 2 1/8 inch end, not a reproduction or painted clamp and shorter distributor end often described as "original restored". The University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany, held their annual degree show earlier this summer, hosting an array of projects from various design disciplines, including industrial, photo and communication design as well as transportation design projects. The nine graduating students from the Transportation Design department, headed by Professor Dr. Othmar Wickenheiser, presented projects of sponsored by Audi, BMW, Ford, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, while continuing students showed proposals for concepts sponsored by Mercedes-Benz trucks (entitled 'Dirty Business'), Lamborghini (themed 'Raw Material') and Semcon.

New design chiefs for Peugeot and Citroen

PSA Peugeot Citroen is under new design leadership this week. As of 4 January 2010, Gilles Vidal has taken over as design director for Peugeot and Thierry Metroz is the new pencil wielder-in-chief at Citroen. Both will report to Jean-Pierre Ploué, who remains design director for the PSA group.

Mitsubishi plans to halt U.S. production of 3 models in August

Mitsubishi will stop making three models at its Normal, Ill., plant in August. Production of the Eclipse coupe, Eclipse Spyder and Endeavor crossover will cease, while the Galant sedan will continue to be built, said Yoichi Yokozawa, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America. A decision on when to end Galant production will be made later, Yokozawa said.
