Offered for sale is a restored 1928/29 Briggs and Stratton Electrolock pop out ignition switch for Model A Ford passenger car or truck. This is a original pop out ignition switch installed in vehicles manufactured between June 1928 and May 1929.  I have completely refurbished this switch, including wiring, nickel and cadmium plating, and painting using the current MAFCA Judging Standards as a guide. This ignition switch comes complete with two keys, one original A numbered.  Please note the cable has the correct cadmium plated cast clamp and 2 1/8 inch end, not a reproduction or painted clamp and shorter distributor end often described as "original restored". Chrysler Group has delayed introduction of a fuel-saving automatic transmission so it can make the shift patterns more palatable to U.S. drivers--the latest sign that a key tool in automakers' plans to meet tougher fuel-economy rules needs some fine-tuning. Two weeks ago, Ford Motor Co., which uses a similar dual-clutch transmission in its Fiesta and Focus, took a hit in Consumer Reports' annual reliability survey because many drivers complained about balky shifting.
