Brabus 800 E V12 Cabriolet
So you fancy a Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet, but you feel Mercedes has failed miserably to endow any E-Class Cab with enough power to whip the skin off a rice pudding. What do you do? You go out and grab yourself an E-Class Cab tweaked and fettled by Brabus – something like the new Brabus 800 E V12 Cabriolet with 800 continental horses at its disposal – more than enough speed on tap to whip the syrups off your back-seat passengers.

How much is seven one thousandths of a second in distance on a qualifying lap for the Singapore Grand Prix? About 45cm, and that’s all it took for lewis Hamilton to take pole position for tomorrow’s race from team mate Nico Rosberg in the dying seconds of final qualifying. Mercedes may have closed out the front row for tomorrow’s race, but they didn’t do it in the dominant way that has been the picture for the current season so far.

This in-your-face hunk of high-speed SUV is Brabus’ B63S–700 Widestar, the latest super-powerful conversion from the German Mercedes-Benz tuners. This time the aftermarket fettler has turned its attention to Merc’s already rather powerful ML63 AMG off-roader, adding some fairly garish visual modifications and performing some even crazier tweaks underneath the bonnet ahead of the car’s debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
