[DESCRIPTION] For your consideration is a 1930/40's Goatskin Brown Leather Buckle Back Motorcycle Jacket. The leather has been well kept and preserved in climate controlled, non-smoking environments. Its in amazing condition with the only real appearance of wear around the sleeve buckles (tarnish) and sleeve ends. There are buckles on both waist and sleeves. The zippers were manufactured by Kwik.

The jacket was manufactured between 1938-1941 by the Amalgamated clothing workers of america (Union). The Kwik zippers also help date the jacket as they were only manufactured between 1932-36. There was only one tag present on the jacket and it was barely holding on, so I removed it but will include it with the purchase. I have a picture of the actual tag that you will receive (from the jacket) and a picture of a similar tag just for the benefit of your research.

Condition: the jacket is in NM condition free of any flea bites, rips, tares, or scratches. There's some very minor color fading around the extremities but this is a natural and desirable patina. The jacket is still true to form losing almost none of its natural body. The pictures give the jacket a lighter, duller appearance but in actuality, it has a very rich luster.

Please note: I purchased this jacket from a local Estate Sale. The jacket was advertised as "Horsehide" but after further research I've determined with 99.9% certainty that it is in fact goat skin.

The measurements are as follows: This is a SMALL jacket!

  • Back Length 25"
  • Sleeve 23"
  • Chest: 18.25"
  • Shoulder 18"

Mitsubishi Outlander GT

Fri, 03 Apr 2009

The Mitsubishi Outlander GT will show at the New York Motor Show [ad#ad-1] The picture above is the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept (which is not a Photoshop mis-hap – just another version of a car maker’s ‘tease’ image, this time blurred). This is Mitsubishi’s efforts to make the Outlander more appealing, and from what we can see it’s taken a design cue from the Lamborghini Reventon, by putting a ‘Stealth Fighter’ nose on the front. Actually, as a blurred image, the front end does look a little reminiscent of the Lagonda Concept we saw at Geneva last month.
