Ocala, Florida, United States
Condition:Used

Up for auction is a super cool set of 16 inch x 6:00 wheels and period tires, with front and rear pre-1925 Model T Ford hubs welded as centers! The rear brake drums are 8 inches in outside diameter. These would have been made in the late 1930s or 1940s when someone built a sprint car or race car out of a Model T Ford frame and axles, and either used a Ford T or A engine or some other motor in the Ford Frame. This was very common in home built or amateur cars built after World War Two by mechanics and returning solders. All four wheels and hubs are solid and usable. Pickup only, as the wheels are VERY heavy! They can be stored until pickup, but must be paid for at end of auction. These are for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Alfa Romeo 4C Concept video – lest we forget

Mon, 25 Jul 2011

Alfa Romeo release an Alfa 4C Video One of the most appealing cars at this year’s Geneva Motor Show was the Alfa Romeo 4C, a good-looking, mid-engined, 2-seater coupe. Better still, Alfa let it be known that this 4C Concept wasn’t just for fun, it was on the way to a showroom near you. In fact we believed the Alfa 4C was the car that would be the halo model for Alfa Romeo’s return to the American market, at that time expected to be in 2012 but, as we reported recently, that plan is going a bit awry.

The Nissan Land Glider will be at the Tokyo Motor Show We had Toyota’s Jetson-inspired pocket-sized city EV – the Toyota FT-EV II – revealed yesterday and today we get something even smaller from Nissan – the Nissan Land Glider. The Nissan Land Glider is a very narrow and compact two-seat urban electric car. It’s narrow size makes it perfect for parking and its fly-by-wire dual joystick controllers will make anyone much under 50 feel very at home.

Missing oil changes is false economy

Fri, 06 Dec 2013

TRYING TO SAVE money on motoring costs by not changing a car’s oil is risking a false economy as it could lead to more wear and fuel consumption, according to Two-thirds (65%) of British drivers admitted they have not changed the oil in their car in the last 12 months, with the same number admitting they buy oil for their car based solely on price. The same study by Mobil 1 also showed only 45% of drivers knew when their car’s scheduled service intervals were, while 15% said they would cut back on servicing to save money. Dan McGoldrick, of Mobil 1, said: ‘Choosing the right oil for your car is vital as it means both the lubricant and the engine will last longer, so you’re saving in the long term.’ Tim Shallcross, Head of Technical Policy at the Institute of Advanced Motorists, added: ‘Apart from lubricating the engine, oil has the important job of absorbing harmful by-products given off by the burning fuel.
