This is a very nice, well-detailed 1933 Alfa Romeo 2.3 230D 8C convertible full-color calendar photo page. It measures out at 8" x 10-1/2" and is well-suited to frame or display as is. Toyota is set to unveil a trio of concepts at this year's Tokyo motor show. Taking snap-shots of the future of Toyota, they are said to represent the 'near-future, mid-term and far out.' Details on all three are currently limited, so stay tuned to CDN for our Tokyo show coverage, where we will bring you more details and images of all three cars. The FT-EV III represents the ‘near future'.

Cadillac teases Detroit 2013 concept at Pebble Beach

Cadillac teased a new concept car at the weekend at Pebble Beach to be unveiled in the steel at an unnamed American auto show early next year. We'll see you on the GM stand in Detroit then. During a press event Cadillac's Global Design Director Clay Dean said it was time for the brand to "reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time." There were no further details about what we can expect from the concept but from what we can see from these renders is what appears to be a further move away from the geometry of the Art and Science form language towards a more sculptural surface treatment intersected by sharp, precise creases.

College Exhibition: RCA/GM - Fast Forward 2049

First year students at the Royal College of Art recently held an exhibition at the London Transport Museum commemorating the 40th anniversary of the school's vehicle design course. Sponsored by GM's Opel/Vauxhall division, 19 students responded to a brief that called for them to ‘Fast Forward into the Future'. Divided into three groups - Inside Out, Urban Flow and Automark - the students devised their own notions of vehicles for the year 2049, and in some cases entirely reinvented Opel brand values and aesthetics.
