 Rare Advertising Piece, Vintage Door Handle Escutcheon Display with Escutcheons. This is a very rare find from
a old parts store. This display/ assortment has 20 assorted NOS escutcheons {plates behind door handles}
to fit all makes and models of cars like Ford,  Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Pontiac, Buick, Chevrolet,
Oldsmobile, and others from 1934 thru 1941. These escutcheons come in different styles for the different makes
and come in different colors for the different interior colors. This is a cardboard display with a pictured inside top
showing applications and models. It measures 14" X 7 1/2" and is in good condition with lid corner wear.

Rain-soaked Woodward Avenue welcomed thousands of cruisers and car enthusiasts for the 16th annual Dream Cruise on a wet Saturday just north of Detroit. Though the weather didn't cooperate for much of the day with rain ranging from a mist to steady showers, it failed to dampen the spirits of car fans for all over. As usual, Mustangs, Corvettes and Challengers took center stage on the iconic strip, which plays host to the yearly summer celebration of chrome and fins.

Trains cancelled over broken-down taxi

TRAINS were cancelled after a taxi carrying the ticket conductors broke down on the way to the station - and health and safety policy bans them walking. London Midland yesterday told passengers it was cancelling two of its services from Birmingham New Street station in the city centre after the breakdown happened during what is usually a short journey by foot from nearby Snow Hill station. However, the rail operator has said its own safety policy bars the uniformed conductors from getting to the station on foot because they are carrying their ticket machines and cash from the days' takings.
