Up for bids is a set of 5 wire wheel hub caps for a mid 1930's Chevrolet.   These were made in Argentina in the 1960's for the US market.  They do not have the complete bow tie stanping so they did not have to be regisitered by General Motors for production.  We have no idea as to what Chevrolet wire wheel they fit.  The back of the cap is 6" diameter.   They are chrome plated steel.

Goodwood FoS really does create sales for supercar makers

Wed, 27 Jun 2012

Yes, other car shows offer some of what Goodwood does – Villa D’Este, Pebble Beach and Salon Prive are all very good – but none have the depth of petrolhead goodness you’ll find on offer at Goodwood.

Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2 revealed. But why bother?

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2 - will it sell? When Honda finally confirmed the Civic Type R Mugen for very limited production – just 20 were being made – back in 2009, we did comment that the price - £38,599 and a £12k premium over the stock Type R – did not auger well for sales. In the event Honda has only managed to shift sixteen of the original Type R Mugen, but despite that sales failure they have decided to punt out a more powerful – and inevitably more expensive – version of the Type R with a bored and stroke 2.2 litre version of the original 2.0 litre in the Type R – the Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2.
