1934-1936 Buick oil gauge rod 1266920 1288436

Product Description

Excellent used oil gauge rod (dipstick).

Came out of a dealership that started with Buick in 1909, and someone wrote on a tag "Oil rod for 1936 Buick". Unfortunately, they didn't specify which Series, which leaves us with 2 choices.

If it is for 40 Series, it is part number 1266920, and also fits 1934 and 1935 40 Series.

If it is for 60-80-90 Series, it is part number 1288436 and is 1936 only.

Picture didn't come out too well, but there are two markings on the rod - one is for low, one for full. No part number stamped or cast on the rod itself, unlike the oil gauge rods from about 1938 on that all had part numbers on them.

Had a little surface rust I cleaned off, but there is still a lot of the original paint on the handle end.
1934 1935 1936

Shipping - Payment

A few words to make things easier.

1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising BEFORE you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.  AND, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.

Thanks for your bid.

Mon, 11 May 2009

Hyundai has announced the i10 ES & i30 ES with extra equipment Hyundai are cleverly playing the ‘Scrappage Card’ with their range, and offering some very good headline prices for their already economical range. And, just like many other car makers, they are going down the ‘More for Less’ route, which has always appealed to buyers, whatever the product. So Hyundai has announced this morning two additions to their range – the Hyundai i10 ES and the Hyundai i30 ES – to grab a few headlines, highlight their low prices and make the most of the Scrappage budget before it runs out.

Saab gets small payment from Youngman after yesterday’s ‘misunderstanding’

Thu, 13 Oct 2011

Saab gets a small payment from Youngman What on earth are we going to do once the Saab Saga is resolved? The machinations and misunderstandings surrounding Victor Muller’s increasingly desperate quest to keep Saab alive has probably provided more stories than almost anything else this year. Yesterday’s Saab episode surrounded Pangda Chairman Pang Qinghua stating that the Saab deal was no longer valid since Saab went in to court protection in Sweden, raising the prospect of one of Saab’s creditors pushing the bankruptcy button rather swiftly.

Subaru WRX STI premieres at the Detroit auto show

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Today at the Detroit Auto Show Subaru unveiled the new WRX STI. Last year's model got a bit of a lukewarm reception, as a lot of fans wanted to see something closer to the WRX Concept that was revealed at the 2013 New York Auto Show. It appears that Subaru has listened, and this year's WRX STI debuts with an all-new exterior design.
