Brand:Mopar Other Part Number:1934 1935 1936 1937 1938 1939 1940 1941 Manufacturer Part Number:860795 casting number 617925 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Interchange Part Number:34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41

These are the Dodge 218 rods for the even numbered cylinders.  The casting number is 617925.  1941 was apparently the changeover year because one Mopar parts catalog lists this 860795 rod for 1941 and another lists the 1115902 rod.

The first parts catalog photo above is for 1936-1940 Dodge trucks and the second two are from the 1941-1947 Dodge truck catalog.

I don't have any 860794 (odd numbered cylinders) rods, but Collector's Auto Supply lists that number.  The price is way high, though.

Chevrolet Volt, Sonic Super Bowl ads hit the Web

Thu, 02 Feb 2012

Chevrolet released its Super Bowl ads featuring the Volt with some intergalactic visitors and the Sonic with insects. In the Volt ad, despite the owner's best efforts to explain the concept of a gas/electric hybrid, the aliens are distracted and take an interest in the owner's wife when she comes out of the house. For the Sonic ad, titled “Joy,” for once bugs on the grille of a car isn't a bad thing.
