Radio untested and likely will require full restoration but is complete inside and out with what appears to be all original guts and not restored before. It will require complete rebuild and likely require a replacement vibrator and could use new fabric to cover the speaker. It may be missing some original case screws which can easily be replaced with various small sheet metal screws. An antenna and a firewall mounting plate are NOT included.
Brand:Philco for MOPAR Surface Finish:Various paints Manufacturer Part Number:Philco CT-11 Warranty:No Placement on Vehicle:Front Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

Listing is for one of our several 1936 MOPAR (Plymouth/Dodge/DeSoto/Chrysler) PHILCO car radios.   It appears complete inside and out except perhaps for some original box sheet metal screws.  The radio box works correctly for 1936 or 1937.  This control head with cables is correct only for 1936 MOPAR cars.  This radio control box could also be for 1934 1935 or 1938 with some modifications. This control head Face Plate is only correct for 1936 Dodge cars.  I suggest this be used only for 1936 Dodge cars in this assembly.  This radio does not include the original fire wall mounting plate and an antenna is not included.
NOTE:  These knobs are very nice originals, almost impossible to find, but the metal bands are slipping because the plastic kind of material that the knobs are made of shrinks a lot from age.  Some drops of super glue gel under the rings is a quick cure for the problem.
The entire radio assembly appears complete and original showing no signs of previous rebuild except possibly tube or vibrator replacement over time.  The speaker face cloth is still good enough that it might be cleaned and look nice (pictured).  Serial Number # P36237 is stamped in the outside metal.  We have had several versions of these MOPAR CT-11 car radios with very slight differences and this appears maybe to be one of the earlier for 1936.  This radio head includes the full 3-set of original knobs and the control backside mounting bracket.  The dial face moves as it should while turning the tuning knob.
These radios have the speaker protectively contained under the box lid.  Although the speaker cone is a little dirty, it is fully intact and should make excellent sound.  The speaker was not tested for electrical operation so the speaker and the radio box itself are only complete and unknown whether operational.
I have several of the same model radios on hand.  This radio is one inspected so far that shows to be complete and it appears to be original throughout and has not been attempted to be rebuilt before except for a replaced vibrator.  This information will be very helpful to any radio rebuilder.  This radio can likely be adapted for use from 1934 thru 1938 MOPAR applications but was specifically manufactured for 1936 MOPAR cars and I'd really recommend a more correct model for other than 1936 Dodge.
We do have several earlier and later year models of these radios on hand, which will be listed for sale as we can finish inspections.  If you need a MOPAR radio model other than 1936 Dodge, let me know your needs and we'll try to get one listed for your car.  Also if you need a less-than-complete one of these radios for parts, you should check as we could provide one of our parts-only radios of these models.
Be in touch and e-Mail questions, especially before bidding.  PayPal available and required by me from bid winner outside the U.S.A.  Winner pays $40.00 USPS Parcel S&H or UPS and $5.00 Insurance within Continental U.S.A.  Outside the U.S. e-Mail with complete delivery address (not just country) for shipping calculation.  We usually try to combine shipment of multiple purchases to save the bidder on shipping charges.  Returns only allowed for items delivered not as described in the listing.  If I can ship a few bucks cheaper, I'll gladly refund the paid shipping difference.
ATTENTION:  We are trying to have firewall mount plates, control head mount brackets and knobs remanufactured for these early 1930s MOPAR radios as they just can't be found.  If you know of any already being manufactured, please let me know; because we never try to compete with others already making good quality reasonably priced replacements.

Maserati Kubang

Tue, 13 Sep 2011

Maserati today unveiled its new Kubang sport luxury SUV, the Italian brands's first foray into the segment. The Kubang, making its debut at the Frankfurt motor show, is said to be the forerunner of the future Maserati range. Previously revealed in concept form at the 2003 Detroit motor show, Maserati claims the production version of the Kubang maintains the main features of its concept precursor, such as the style, engine, suspensions, brakes, handling and performance. The manufacturer has for years been producing sedans, coupes and two or four-seater convertibles, but the Kubang is the first of its kind to be created by Maserati.
