Fiat 500C – the reveal happens

As we told you on Saturday, Fiat intended unveiling the new convertible 500 - The Fiat 500C – today, and here we have the first official images of the car. As we expected, the 500C gets a full-length canvas roof, with the C pillars staying in place to keep the cost down and add strength. Now, for the first time, BMW is to build the MINI outside Europe with a new MINi assembly facility coming on stream in Chennai, India, where BMW already makes 3 and 5 Series models as well as the X1 and X3. The plan is part of BMW’s plan of ‘Production follows the market’ where BMW aim to make their cars where they’re sold, so with the MINI brand showing strong growth in India since its launch it makes sense to build them there.

The stunning Jaguar C-X75 Concept Supercar was revealed in 2010 both to celebrate Jaguar’s 75th anniversary and to look at the futures possibilities for a resurgant Jaguar. Powered by four electric motors and a pair of micro-gas turbines, Jaguar said it had 780bhp at its disposal, could get to 62mph in 3.4 seconds, top out at over 200mph and run for 68 miles (in theory) on its batteries.
