Up for auction are these 1937 - 1938 Chevy truck inner fender skirts.

Skirts are solid but will need some repair to the lower tabs on mounting legs or brackets.

Most of the louvres are in great condition.

Skirts have a few stress cracks that will also need welding.

Some restoration needed but better than most you see from this year !

Italian automaker Fiat, Canadian parts maker Magna International and Belgian investment firm RHJ International look to be the final three bidders for General Motors' Opel subsidiary. Fiat has confirmed that it put in a bid for Opel. Final bids for Opel were due Wednesday evening.

Ford to sell Aston Martin

Ford announced today that the British sports car manufacturer would be sold and CAR has learned that Swiss-based Richemont and the French holding company LVMH have emerged as most likely to take on Aston despite having no previous experience in the car industry. Ford desperately needs to tap into the potential $700m-$1bn the sale of Aston could generate and hopes to finalise a deal by the end of the year.

Drivers against remote stopping devices

EU PLANS to introduced remote stopping devices that can be activated by the police in an emergency have been met with concern by drivers. Under the proposed legislation a six-year timetable for remote stopping devices is planned with the aim of police being able to bring dangerous high-speed car chases to a halt. A device would be fitted to all cars that would allow a central control room to cut the ignition and fuel supply of any vehicle.
