1937-1953 Chevrolet Master Fleetline BelAir Pickup NOS oil dippers 838342

Product Description

NOS genuine GM connecting rod oil dippers. Not sure which one of the several part numbers GM used for these dippers over the years was in use when these parts were actually produced.

GM started out using part number 838342 in 1937. On January 1, 1951, GM told dealers to mix any remaining part number 838342 with new part number 3835662. Then, on June 1, 1952, they again told dealers to mix parts - 3835662 with new part number 3835769. Finally, on January 10, 1953, GM instructed dealers to mix part # 3835769 with new part number 3835884. That number then lasted until it was discontinued sometime in the 1970's.

These fit 1937 - 1953 Chevrolet Passenger car (Master 85, Master, Master Deluxe, Special Deluxe, Fleetmaster, Stylemaster, Fleetline, Styline, 150, 210 and BelAir), Commercial Truck (1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton Pickup, Panel and Suburban Carryall) and Utility Truck (1-1/2 ton and larger). There is one exception: do not fit 1953 150, 210 and BelAir with PowerGlide.

Brand new, but came from the dealership with no packaging, so you will be receiving just what you see: a full set of 6 dippers, nothing else.

Shipping - Payment

A few words to make things easier.

1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising BEFORE you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.  AND, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.

Thanks for your bid.

Porsche Macan will sell 75,000 a year

Tue, 11 Sep 2012

The Porsche Macan – Porsche’s more compact SUV, based on the Audi Q5 – looks set to sell at a rate of 75,000 cars a year. The new Porsche Macan - the Porsche Cajun as was -  already looked set to take Porsche sales to another level with projected sales of 45,000 a year from 2013, but it looks like that ambitious target is going to be exceeded. German weekly WirtschaftsWoche is reporting that Porsche’s procurement boss, Uwe-Karsten Staedter, has put Porsche suppliers on notice that they are expecting to sell 75,000 Macans a year by the end of 2013 – an increase of 2/3rds on the original sales predictions.

Mazda refines lineup with SkyActiv technology

Tue, 19 Oct 2010

It turns out Mazda isn't simply shooting for the sky. Rather, the protagonists of Zoom-Zoom driving dynamics are taking an active approach to the brand's DNA: Put it all together: it's called “SkyActiv,” and Mazda is billing the suite of technologies as the pillars of its way forward. Much of these features--which enhance future products in nearly all areas, including engine, transmission and chassis--have already been revealed.
