First sight of Pininfarina-designed Eurostar trains
Fri, 19 Oct 2012Eurostar has unveiled the first images of its new Pininfarina-designed e320 trains that are currently under construction in Germany. A £700m overhaul of the Eurostar fleet has seen a refurbishment of its existing trains as well as the purchase of 10 new trains designed by the Italian design house. The entire new Eurostar fleet should be completed by 2015 with production of the new e320 trains and refurbishment of the existing trains well underway.

While some are taking to the air to travel to Mediterranean hotspots, anyone getting the car out in the UK will have to compete for road space with an estimated nine million other vehicles. Around 500,000 passengers are expected to depart from Heathrow airport over the weekend, as well as 234,000 from Gatwick, 172,000 from Manchester, more than 150,000 from Scotland's airports and 134,000 from Stansted.
