1937 - 41 Ford Spindles 37 38 39 40 41 Hot Rod Set of 2 Right and Left original Ford Spindles. Round style.  Good usable and restorable condition. Casting numbers show 78 on both (see pictures). These spindles are popular for hot rods because you can adapt ‘juice’ drum brakes or adapt disk brakes with a variety of adapters (adapters not included).  You can install these on earlier axels to eliminate mechanical brakes.  The threads and bearing surfaces and holes appear in great shape.  They have been stripped of paint and rust and metal etch primed. They will likely need new bushings.  Sold As-Is. Please see pictures. Ask questions if needed.

From 11-15 August over 28,000 artists, research scientists, developers, filmmakers, and academics from around the world gathered in Los Angeles for the 35th Siggraph Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques. The Siggraph conference includes courses and technical paper presentations, new technologies demos, an art gallery, computer animation festival, and an exhibition by software and hardware vendors. While the New Tech Demos and the technical programs are focussed on technologies that designers will have to wait several years for, several automotive software and hardware suppliers announced new shipping products at Siggraph.

GM recalls small cars to fix steering problem

A problem with the power-steering system is prompting General Motors to recall 1.3 million small cars. There have been reports of 14 crashes and one injury related to the steering problem, GM said on Tuesday. The recall covers 2005-10 Chevrolet Cobalts and 2007-10 Pontiac G5s sold in the United States.

RM classic-car auction in Detroit rakes in more than $2.5 million

Two of General Motors' finest convertibles from half a century ago were the top sellers at the RM auction last weekend in suburban Detroit. A 1958 Pontiac Parisienne droptop sold for $104,500, and a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz went for $82,500 at the annual classic-car event, April 24-25 in Novi, Mich. Prices include a buyers premium.
