What I have here is the 1936 or 37 lycombing Cord engine spark plug wires and wire looms for both sides on the engine. These are the factory original wires. This car has been off the roads since 1946 or 47. I ran with these for probably 100 miles since 1975. Not much miles really. I painted then black back in 1966 when I was deciding what to do with the car. These are a spare set now because I bought a chromed set knowing they did not come chromed from the factory. But they sure look nice on the engines. What a beautiful engine these are too. I will be listing a distributor cap with the cover and top button. No problems and show worthy but not Concours but very nice. No chips or cracks either. Might find a rotor too later. Also have another cover to list along with a spare wheel. The heavy duty type with no repairs or cracks.

F1: Back in the U.S.A. 2012

Wed, 26 May 2010

The F1 Grand Prix Circus returns to the USA in 2012 The Americans have never really fallen in love with Formula One in the way the rest of the world – and particularly the Europeans – have. They have plenty of race series of their own, many arguably more exciting. Which you would think would be a good enough reason not to worry too much about the lack of a US Grand Prix on the calendar since the last one in Indianapolis in 2007.

It's the 20th anniversary of Top Gear -- the magazine anyway -- and as it celebrates its 20th anniversary, the magazine has copped to the destruction of the Mazda Furai concept, which caught on fire while in its possession an unspecified length of time ago. "The 20th anniversary collectors" edition of BBC Top Gear magazine…reveals a host of until-now untold secrets," says a statement from the magazine's publisher, "including the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of Mazda's astonishing Furai concept (hint: it involves the East Anglia fire service)." Well, that sucks. Look at that picture above!

The De Tomaso brand failed to attract a bid in auction this week But it appears that the liquidators for the De Tomaso assetts have already disposed of the factory and land, and this week the brand and trademarks were on the auction block, with a starting price of  €1.6 million. But there were no takers. Not one.
