This is the 61st running of what grizzled veterans have simply called "Oakland," after the city that hosted it for its first half-century. This is the seventh year the show has been held in the Art Deco halls and sprawling avenues of the Fairplex, all of which will be under sunny skies and balmy temps all weekend.

The Mi-ray, which takes its name from the Korean for future, is a hybrid sports car that is the first concept car from the Korean arm of GM. Said to take influence from past Detroit legends such as the 1963 Monza SS and Corvair Super Spyder, the Mi-ray features a pleathora of sporting influences, making its intentions clear.
General Motors to drop Goodwrench brand in the United States
Mon, 08 Nov 2010UPDATED -- General Motors Co. is dropping the GM Goodwrench car mechanic brand in the United States as the company moves to redirect the marketing emphasis around its four core vehicle brands, the company announced. The long-standing Goodwrench brand--used by GM dealers to promote vehicle repair and maintenance services--will be replaced by Chevrolet Certified Service, Cadillac Certified Service, Buick Certified Service and GMC Certified Service, GM said in a statement released Monday evening.
