NOS Genuine Ford Door Lock/Latch Excellent Condition.  Direct bolt in for Left Rear Door of a Fordor Sedan. Could be used in the Right Front Door, but has no provision to connect outside key lock cylinder.  Previous buyers have combined their worn out lock with this one to repair excessive wear.   This lock will fit 1935 through 1937 cars if you adapt  the connection of the inside handle link, but is the improved 1938 design and has the quick twist connection for 1938,39, and 1940.

And when we first saw the Toyota FT-86 Concept at the end of 2009 (and in the flesh at Goodwood last summer) we’d expected to see it launch this year. Despite that expectation, we discovered in January that Toyota were actually taking a different concept to Geneva – the Toyota FT-86 II – dashing any hopes of the FT-86 in any shape or form hitting the road this year.

Map-reading driver gets ban and hefty fine

AN ELDERLY driver has been fined more than £1,000 and banned for a year after he was caught reading a map at the wheel. Peter John Rigby, 73, of Beamsley in Skipton, North Yorkshire, was captured by police cameras flicking through an atlas for at least 10 seconds while driving his Honda Jazz on March 4. The car caught the attention of a camera operator when it began to wander across the white line of the overtaking lane.

In a wide-ranging plan, the two German premium marques could join forces to take on the might of Audi, with its backing and economies of scale of the whole Volkswagen group and, increasingly, Porsche. BMW chairman Norbert Reithofer and his counterpart at Daimler, Dieter Zetsche, are coming to the conclusion that the two brands – for so long, fierce rivals – should work together rather than fight against each other.
