At a glamorous awards ceremony at the Espace Clacquesin in Paris earlier this evening, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered together to watch sponsors Peugeot and Volkswagen reveal the 2012 Interior Motives Student Design of the Year: ‘Autopool' by Siavash Jafari Jozani and Mina Kasirifar from the University of Tehran. At the end of what was a memorable event, the two Iranian students walked away with one of the most prestigious accolades in the automotive design industry and a cash prize of $5,000. Museum benefactor Margie Petersen dies

Margie Petersen, wife of automotive publishing magnate Robert E. "Pete" Petersen and the driving force behind many of the couple's generous philanthropies, died Nov. 25 after a decades-long battle with breast cancer.

Monte Carlo makeover for Skoda Citigo

SKODA has transferred the big-selling Monte Carlo treatment first seen on the Fabia to its little brother, the Citigo. The Citigo Monte Carlo is based on the mid-range SE trim, but boasts stand-out black detailing including larger 15-inch alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, a rear mock diffuser, grille and door mirrors. Inside the cabin the changes include a 'sports' steering wheel and Monte Carlo red/black upholstery.
