Lots of surface rust and bottom line rust through that will require serious body work but is rebuildable if needed and you have none otherwise to work with.
Brand:MOPAR Surface Finish:very rusty Manufacturer Part Number:742846 Warranty:No Placement on Vehicle:Rear Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

The remains of this 1938 Chrysler trunk came to us with some other 1938 Chrysler front clip body clip parts but this is the only part of the main body we acquired..  Supposed to be for 1938 Chrysler 2 or 4-door sedan that used Part Number 766278 but we have not substantiated that information.  Check your application very carefully against the pictures before bidding and ask relevant questions.  Might also fit DeSoto or Dodge but unsure.
This has lots of surface rust and bottom line rust-through that will have to be dealt with.  It will require rebuild but most good body shops could make it very nice again with reasonable amount of work.  The 1938 Chrysler parts are just so difficult to acquire that I can't see this one being tossed.
Shipping charge is purposely listed quite high to make sure the shipping charge is covered.  However, I will return any amount paid that is more than the actual shipping cost.  Our best offer for shipment will likely be by Greyhound but the bidder can choose their most convenient and less costly shipment.
E-Mail questions.  PayPal available and required by me from bid winner outside the U.S.A.  Winner pays $95.00 USPS Parcel S&H and $5.00 Insurance within Continental U.S.A.  Outside the U.S. e-Mail with complete shipping address (not just country) for cost calculation.  We always try to combine shipment of multiple purchases to save the bidder on shipping cost.  Returns only allowed for items delivered not as described in the listing.
