MOTOR DESCRIPTION:

This auction is for the pictured Waterwitch (sold by Sears, manufactured by Kissell) Model 571.36 outboard motor that is a 3/4 horsepower motor from about 1938- SMALL motor!! This motor does turn over with a good slug of compression to it. These were not known as the best running motors ever made but by the same token a lot of hobbyists are out there getting them running and they are rapidly becoming appreciated as one of the “small” motors under 1 horsepower that is worth restoring.

The motor does have a couple of issues- the fuel tank appears to have been repaired and had a new filler neck and cap put onto it at some point. The other issue is that there is no propeller, shear pin or prop nut with the motor- it just was not there when I bought it. Overall this is a workable little Waterwitch .75 horsepower motor- it may never be a concourse show award winner but it’s nowhere near in the sort of condition that would warrant parting it out- in my opinion. NO RESERVE!!!

TRANSACTION TERMS:

Cash payment due upon pickup, if pickup is going to be after one week’s time then paypal payment required. I can hold a motor(s) for up to 30 days as long as its paid.

New McLaren F1 (P12) Official Specs?

Sun, 09 Sep 2012

We’ve got specifications of the new McLaren F1 (P12) which appear to confirm our earlier reports on its power and performance. Update: It seems the source of this story – an article on Jalopnik – was actually based on a spoof. So all we have is a mish-mash of best guesses and speculation and no new facts at all (see comments at the bottom).
