THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE 1939 FORD STANDARD INSTRUMENT GAUGE CLUSTER. THIS ASSEMBLY IS IN VERY NICE USED CONDITION AND SHOULD BE SUITABLE FOR USE IN A DRIVING 1939 FORD OR PERHAPS A HOT ROD. IT CAN ALSO BE USED IN A DRIVER QUALITY 1938 OR 1939 FORD WITHOUT ANY ALTERATIONS. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE CABLE HAS BEEN CUT OFF SO A NEW TEMP GAUGE WILL BE REQUIRED. THE OTHER THREE GAUGES MAY WORK JUST FINE AS-IS BUT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED. IT HAS A NICE FRONT GLASS AND FACE PLATE WHICH DOES SHOW SOME AGING. THE GAUGE CLUSTER HAS A NICE CHROME BEZEL. IT IS BEING SOLD IN AS-IS CONDITION. THIS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS BEING OFFERED AT A VERY LOW STARTING BID. In our Best of the Best testing, we found the Silverado to be as quiet, refined and smooth as one could ask from a full-size pickup. Testers also were impressed with the body control (for a large truck) and outstanding ride.

Fri, 15 Dec 2006MA students from UK's Coventry University Automotive Design course presented their annual MA degree exhibition earlier this month. The Show, entitled 'Icons', which this year revolved around the central theme of designing tomorrows automotive 'Icons', displayed the students' work at Coventry's Transport Museum. Patrick le Quement, Renault's senior vice president of Corporate Design presented the Corus Award for 'Best Vehicle Design', which was awarded to Dev O'Nion who won for his design concept 'Apto Sapor.' O'Nion's project - an interior design concept - was inspired by organic themes in nature - what he called 'Natural Design' - to create a harmonious interior; a blend of the natural, biological and technical.
