Hello collectors and builders

Today I have a opened box of  8 cylinder head gaskets for the early 45ci. side valve  Harley Davidson.
The package / box is coated in wax , and appears to have been wrapped with paper at a later date.
There is a dated tag placed on the paper wrapper  11-39
The dark stains you see in the picture is wax that has melted and soaked the paper over the years.
I found 8 early gaskets in near perfect condition in the box after opening it.
Good and stright , not bent or cracked.
Just the way they were packaged in 1939
Perfect for the engine builder that wants the original gaskets.
Please ask questions before bidding.

Good luck every one , ride safe

Queen’s hat causes car problem in France

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

Renault | AP The French president has a problem: it turns out none of the Citroen cars currently at his disposal are large enough to accommodate the Queen’s customary hats. So for Her Majesty’s state visit on 6 June, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, president Francois Hollande has ordered an old Renault out of retirement to make sure the Queen has the necessary headroom. On Bing: see pictures of the Queen’s cars60 years of Royal cars President Hollande is generally seen in a Citroen DS5, as this is the most prestigious French-made car currently available; alternatively he also has routine access to the slightly more limo-like Citroen C6.

Maserati at the Paris motor show 2008

Fri, 03 Oct 2008

By Ben Barry Motor Shows 03 October 2008 09:17 Visitors to the Maserati stand at Paris were treated to Modena’s familiar but still nonetheless alluring two-car range with a trio of Quattroportes and a pair of Granturismos, the newest versions being the Granturismo S and the Quattroporte S. The Granturismo S makes this four-seat GT an altogether more hardcore proposition. A 4.7-litre V8 replaces the standard car’s 4.2; the ZF torque converter auto makes way for a six-speed automated manual shared with the Ferrari Scuderia; plus there’s a subtle aero kit, bigger brakes along with interior embellishments.

Fiat 500 gets 3-star safety rating from NHTSA

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

The slow-selling 2012 Fiat 500 now has another obstacle in its sales path: It has been tagged by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration with a three-star safety rating, the lowest of any new model tested so far. The two-door subcompact received four stars from NHTSA for frontal crash and rollover accidents but received just two stars for side-impact crash safety, the agency announced on its Web site, safercar.gov. The tests gave the car a combined overall safety rating of three stars, NHTSA reported.
