shallow dents-Small area of rust on edge where it was damaged at one time- corners bent
Placement on Vehicle:Rear Part Brand:Chevrolet

Offered is what I believe to be 1940's Chevy trunk lid purchased already removed from donor  (farm auction)  Local pick-up only.  central New York State (13416)

Has several problems.

Pics 2-3  Passenger's side upper corner --  bent from poor handling/dropping after removal .   about 8 inches of the edge is bent inward. Please see pics 4 and 5 for comparison.  Pic 4 is the bent side (Right)  and pic 5 is how the edge should look (Left side)

Pic 6   Passenger's side lower corner -  again bent (outward) from poor handling after removal ---a 3" x 3" x 4" corner ear.  fingers are pointing at the fold.

Pics 7-10 damage on the lower right edge... half-way between the latch and corner.  It looks like the edge got hit at one time and a small amount of cancer has set it.

Pics 11-12  Hard to see in photos but middle of lid near where the latch assembly mounts is uneven/dented.  Hard to see being the paint/finish is so dull but can feel easily.

Will do my best to answer any question or concerns and thank you for looking...

Max Wolff to become Design Director at Lincoln

Thu, 02 Dec 2010

Ford's luxury nameplate, Lincoln, is set to welcome a new design director, the first dedicated design director for the brand. The role will be filled by former GM designer Max Wolff, who will head the design team in the new year.  Until Wolff's appointment, Peter Horbury and Moray Callum, Ford's Executive Director of Design, The Americas, oversaw Lincoln-Mercury designs – the two brands were paired before Ford decided to kill off Mercury earlier this year. While Gerry McGovern headed Lincoln-Mercury design for a brief period before becoming director of Advanced Design at Land Rover in 2004, Lincoln itself has never had a design director dedicated solely to the brand.  Wolff brings with him extensive global perspective and luxury design experience; his most recent role was with Cadillac, where he was head of exteriors.
