1940s vintage sprint car or midget racer trailer fully restored. The ramps have "Bethlehem" for Bethlehem Steel cast in them in several places! Found in Milwaukee, Wisc. with a 1940s sprint car years ago in a barn. I fully restored it late last year. Fully sandblasted and 4 coats of paint. New axle, springs, rims and tires. New tongue, winch, wiring, and ramps included. New beautiful wood with old school look, and West Epoxy on it. Tracks wonderfully! My 1940s 94 inch sprint car fits perfectly on it.(see photo) (GREAT display piece with your racer car on it at shows!)The overall length of the trailer is 180 inches. The length of the drive on rails is 120 inches. The drive on rails are 12 inches wide at the very back, narrowing down to 10 inches wide for most of the rails. From the outside of the drive on rail to the outside of the opposite drive on rail is 64 inches wide. From the center of the drive on rail to the center of the opposite drive on rail is 56 inches. I have $3,800 in the purchase, transportation, and restoration on it. These are getting virtually impossible to find! Superb display piece to go with your vintage 1930s to 1950s racer race speedster, Model A, B, T, flathead Ford, etc. Opening no reserve price is $3,300. The trailer is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early. Great for a Duesenberg, Miller, Dreyer, Hillegass, Halibrand, flat head, Winfield, Rajo, HAL, Offy, Offenhauser, Indy, sprint or midget. George Albright, Ocala, Fla. - Cell 352 843 1624 - gnalbrightatgmaildotcom

Nissan to open new Global Headquarters Gallery

Thu, 06 Aug 2009

Nissan, which opened its new global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, last weekend (coinciding with the unveiling of the automaker's new electrically-propelled Leaf), will open a new gallery dedicated to its products on August 8th. Just as German automakers BMW and Porsche have shrines dedicated to their respective brands, Nissan's new gallery will feature exhibits of its current products, classic models and cars from its racing heritage. The new gallery - which boasts an area four times larger than the previous Nissan gallery in the company's former headquarters in Higashi Ginza - occupies 4000m2 of space on the first floor of the new building.
