Nissan Around 300,000 people use black cabs in London every day, and by the end of 2014, they’ll be faced with a new alternative in the form of Nissan’s NV200 London Taxi, unveiled today. See Nissan's new London taxi The Japanese manufacturer has done its best to make the NV200 echo the carbon-dateable TX4 (which owes much of its styling to the 1958 Austin FX4), but let’s be honest – the new Nissan looks like a van. No coincidence there – it is based on the NV200 commercial vehicle.

Pontiac--the brand famous for the GTO, the Firebird, the Star Chief and, most recently, the Solstice--is dead. It will be phased out by the end of 2010 as part of sweeping cuts announced Monday by General Motors as it tries to remake itself into a smaller company with fewer plants, workers and dealers. Spring has sprung across much of the country, meaning heavy flannels now give way to white polo shirts--many of which will be crested with the familiar emblem of Ralph Lauren on the front. While we at One AutoWeek Tower prefer greasy T-shirts and ripped jeans, collared apparel does have its place. In that vein, Lauren's fabled car collection is taking center stage at a Paris art museum, and the exhibit will run through Aug.
