This auction is for one NOS 1940 CHEVY LH FRONT FENDER W/SOME RUST ISSUES. OVERALL, STRAIGHT FENDER BUT IT WAS POORLY STORED IN A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THE GENTLEMAN THAT I GOT THIS FROM BOUGHT IT IN THE 70'S FROM A CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS STORED IN A BASEMENT THAT LEAKED WATER. THE FENDER WAS STORED ON THE FLOOR CAUSING THE THE RUST-OUT SPOTS. LOOKS AS THE FENDER WAS FLIPPED OVER DURING THE STORAGE AS THERE IS 3 SPOTS OF RUST-OUT AT EACH INSIDE END AND THE CENTER MOUNTING LIP. OF COURSE, YOU CAN SEE THE LARGE RUST HOLE ON THE SIDE AND THE SMALL SPOT WHERE THE PEN IS POINTED. THESE SPOTS CAN BE EASLYLY REPAIRED BY A GOOD SHEETMETAL MAN. 1 STRESS CRACK STARTING AS SEEN IN ONE PICTURE. Very hard to find.
I WOULD LIKE A LOCAL PICKUP BUT I WILL CONSIDER SHIPPING IT. AS YOU KNOW, SHIPPING WILL BE EXPENSIVE ON THIS OVERSIZED PACKAGE.

Doomed Saturns, Hummers make assembly-line curtain calls

GM assembled 1,037 Saturn Outlooks last month after not making any Saturns since October. “We are building out a few Saturns to utilize existing material,” GM spokeswoman Kim Carpenter said.

The handover took place at the series’ new premises at the well-known Donington race track.
