This AUCTION is for the USED PAIR OF ORIGINAL 1940 FORD OPERA COUPE JUMP SEATS shownTHIS PAIR OF SEATS SHOULD BE A GREAT PAIR TO RESTORE FOR YOUR COUPE.  THE WOODEN BASE LOOKS NICE ON BOTH AND YOU CAN SEE THAT THE OUTER FABRIC WAS WRAPPED OVER THE ORIGINAL 1940 FABRIC WHICH SHOWS IN PHOTO 3.  THE SEATS APPEAR TO HAVE GOOD INTERNAL SPRINGS ETC AS THEY HAVE A NICE SHAPE AND GOOD SOLID FEEL.   I AM MISSING ONE SPRING AND BOTH PIVOTING PEGS BUT THE REST OF THE HARDWARE IS ALL PRESENT AND IN GOOD CONDITION.  I CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH A SKETCH OF THE PEG AND IT WOULD NOT BE DIFFICULT TO MAKE A PAIR  ........   Please examine the photos and ask any questions before bidding as this is an as is auction.  THIS ITEM IS BEING SOLD IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.    IF YOU NEED THESE JUMP SEATS TO BE SHIPPED I WILL BOX THEM UP AND SHIP THEM TO YOUR LOCATION.  I WILL CHARGE YOU ONLY MY COSTS FOR PACKING MATERIALS AND SHIPPING.   Sales tax will be added to all items delivered within California.     Please use the Ebay feature "Ask Seller A Question"  if you  need further info.

This was about 15 years ago, and the car and racing enthusiast was working on his MS in geography from Cal State Northridge when he started to find old race tracks -- hundreds of them -- all over Southern California.
