Hayden, Idaho, United States
Condition:Used Placement on Vehicle:Left, Right, Front Surface Finish:a bit rusty, but sound & straight

These are the headlight buckets, 6 volt sealed beams, retaining rings, and parking light bulbs.  Both sealed beams test good on both high and low beams.  The little parking lights work on both units.  The wiring needs to be changed on one light and it would be advisable to change the other also - even though it is still sound.  Both buckets have some surface rust but are not rusted.  An after market catalogue list these buckets at $99, 6 volt sealed beams at $12 and the retaining rings at $11 each and you have to pay the shipping.  I am starting the bid at $140 for the pair, complete.  And I will pay the shipping.

Jaguar signs up Lana Del Rey to make the F-Type cool

Sat, 25 Aug 2012

Jaguar has revealed it has signed up singer songwriter Lana Del Rey to help promote the new F-Type sports car. Land Rover chose to use Mrs Beckham to promote the Range Rover Evoque, and went as far as allowing her input in a limited edition Evoque Beckham, a move that probably generated more column inches of PR for Land Rover than any amount of money could buy. So Jaguar are going a similar way with the F-Type, but instead of signing a Spice Girl they’ve had the sense to look at what is new and cool, and they’ve very sensibly decided the face of the F-Type is going to be singer songwriter Lana Del Rey.

Planned for a limited run of only 45 units, the "I" edition features 5 hp more than stock from the Ford 4.6-liter V8; a 400-hp supercharged version is optional. Ford Racing suspension is standard, while 14-inch Ford Racing brakes are optional.

Toyotafest: Accelerating into history

Sat, 08 May 2010

When you think of automotive history, the names that come to mind are carmakers celebrating their centennials such as Alfa Romeo, Ford and Mercedes-Benz. But the younger carmakers deserve some historical props, too. Toyota has only been in existence 77 years and on sale in the United States for only 50, but it has a small and growing cadre of dedicated enthusiasts nonetheless.
