You are bidding on a home made utility trailer made from the bed of a Ford truck. I am told it is from around 1940. This can continue on as a trailer, or be used for parts - the wheels and axle are also from the old Ford, or the bed can be used in a rat rod or rat truck project. The tail gate works perfectly, there are some cracks and small holes throughout, plenty of patina, and some patching. The fenders do not match, and I do not know of their history. The lights work with a flat 4 connector, and the connection is 1 7/8". The axle's welded directly to the frame, so this thing hauls a ton! (No suspension). I have used it for firewoood, gravel, topsoil and mulch with no problems. If you want it perfectly road legal, you can register it as a home made trailer easily. I have never bothered as I use it seldom. Buyer to pick up at 12565, or I can deliver up to 400 miles for 55 cents a mile, paid in advance. Thanks for looking.

Mercedes F800 Style concept (2010) first pictures

Sun, 21 Feb 2010

This is the new Mercedes F800 Style, a stunning concept car that the Germany company will unveil at the 2010 Geneva motor show next month. The exterior previews the next CLS (and Mercedes’ future design language) while under the skin there’s all sorts of clever tech, from the next generation of HMI control systems to plug-in and fuel-cell powertrains. Mercedes calls it a ‘multi-drive platform’, and the F800 Style is built to take both hydrogen fuel-cell and plug-in hybrid powertrains, with the former offering a range of 375 miles and the latter allowing for 19 zero-emissions miles.

California leads the way with Hydrogen cars

Sun, 21 Dec 2008

The Governator in his hydrogen-powered Hummer [ad#ad-1] Now this is something I really approve of. As many of you will have seen on last week’s Top Gear, May was out playing with the Honda’s FCX Clarity in California, and commented, just as we have, that this is the real way forward for electric cars. The Honda FCX Clarity is the first proper road-going Hydrogen powered vehicle to hit the roads.
