OEM GM Chevrolet (possibly Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac) interior dome light pulled from a (1947-1949) Fleetline Deluxe. The bucket, bezel, and socket are all original. Unfortunately, the original plastic lens was nowhere to be found. (Probably turned to powder by time and the elements.) A brand new repop lens was purchased and installed, and I'm quite impressed with its fit and finish, to be quite honest. If I didn't know it was a repop I'd never have guessed.

This is a VERY rare dome light. I had a hard time identifying it when I began researching it. An even harder time finding a new lens! But, here it is, pretty and polished, ready for your ride.

Please look at all pictures carefully, and ask any questions BEFORE buying. I want us both to be happy with your purchase. That being said, there are no returns. Thanks for looking!

Mustang's 5.0-liter V8 now ready for your car

Wed, 04 Aug 2010

The new, all-aluminum 5.0-liter V8 that is the heart of the 2011 Ford Mustang GT--and is destined for future duty in Ford's F-Series pickups--has popped up as a new entry in the Ford Racing Performance Parts catalog. With a suggested retail price of just a buck less than $7,000, you can get the same 412 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque sits under the hood of new Mustangs. And since the engine mount bosses and bellhousing mount pattern are common with Ford's 4.6-liter V8, the 5.0-liter is an easy swap for older Mustangs.

Flying car gets regulatory clearance

Tue, 05 Jul 2011

The Jetsons' futuristic vision of a flying car is one step closer to becoming a reality. Terrafugia, a Massachusetts company developing a "roadable aircraft" named the Transition, just received special exemptions from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that will help it move the vehicle move forward to production. NHTSA will allow the Transition to be outfitted with plastic windows rather than standard automotive safety glass.
