Up for auction is a used OEM trunk prop rod for a 1941 Chevrolet coupe. The rod is in good condition, there is a little light surface rust, but this is very minor. The rod moves freely in both directions and locks in place like it should. The rod measures 27 3/4" fully open and 16 12" closed.

RENAULT is the latest company to dip its toe into the waters of self-driving car technology. Pitching its contribution as a way of combating tiredness and stress plus allowing drivers to multitask and let the car take the strain, the French firm is looking to 2020 as the year when its bold vision could become a reality. There is a catch though, as Renault’s vision of an autonomous driving future centres around the provision of ‘protected’ roads devoid of pedestrians or other hazards to make the reality of hands off driving possible.

Mercedes-Benz plans teen-driving school

Mercedes-Benz plans to open a driving school for teens in the United States late this year. The school will be modeled on one that Mercedes launched in the United Kingdom in 2009. The location of the school and the program cost won't be disclosed until the end of April, a company spokesman said.
