I am converting a running 1941 Chevrolet Master Deluxe coupe to a street rod and do not need this steering assembly. It includes the steering shaft, mast, dash mount, shift lever unit, and steering box. It was in an operating car and should fit into any compatible Chevy of the 1940's. Due to box size and weight ( 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 54 and 36 lbs) it is not possible to predetermine a shipping weight. Hyundai issues recalls for faulty brake switch, loose bracket
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Hyundai is recalling 186,254 Elantra vehicles from model years 2011-2013 to replace a support bracket on the headliner. Hyundai says the bracket can be dislodged during a side-curtain-airbag deployment and could injure the driver. In a crash in May, an occupant’s ear was cut when the driver’s side curtain airbag deployed.

Not to be outdone, Harman had been quietly developing a system of its own: Quantum Logic 3D brings together 25 speakers and more than 2,000 watts of Tubthumping power to a new car near you, like driving inside Phil Spector's Wall of Sound. Sitting inside the demonstration BMW 7-Series that Harman painstakingly lifted into the Studio at the Palms, Global Audio Engineering vice president Phil Muzio explained, "great music is delivered in stereo, yet our consumer research indicates that people enjoy surround sound." QuantumLogic 3D's surround sound expands beyond the boundaries of the vehicle's cabin, providing "a sense of detail and spatial placement that you don't get in stereo." Five height component speakers mounted in the corners of the headliner, and above the rearview mirror, elevates audio beyond the confines of the roof, "almost like you're in a convertible," said Muzio.

Wed, 12 Aug 2009Volkswagen has introduced the new VW Golf Plus BlueMotion The new VW Golf Plus Bluemotion is basically a Golf Plus with the standard BlueMotion tricks added to improve economy and emissions. These include low rolling resistance tyres, revised gear ratios, start-stop and regenerative braking – the usual box of tricks. The 1.6 litre common rail diesel engine in the Golf Plus BlueMotion – down from 1.9 litres in the old Golf Plus BlueMotion – manages 65.7 mpg and emissions of 114g/km, an improvement of 11% in economy and 10% in emissions.
