Hyundai ix25 Concept: Beijing Motor Show
Mon, 21 Apr 2014The Hyundai ix25 (pictured) debuts in Beijing There’s been talk of a Hyundai ix25 for a couple of years now as the compact SUV market continues to grow and Hyundai’s smallest SUV offering remains the ix35. Now, Hyundai are getting set to remedy that gap in their range with the arrival of the Hyundai ix25 – as a concept – at the Beijing Motor Show, and looking much as you would expect – an ix35 with a few tweaks after a boil wash. At 4270mm long, the ix25 is about the same length as the new Mercedes A Class, but narrower and taller, and comes fitted with a 2.0 litre ‘Nu’ engine.
Vauxhall Astra GTC unveiled
Wed, 08 Sep 2010The Vauxhall Astra GTC Concept - Paris debut Vauxhall teased the next edition of the new Astra – the three-door Astra – last month ahead of a reveal at the Paris Motor Show in a few weeks. And it looks to us as if Vauxhall are going to stick with the GTC moniker for the production car, so this Concept may well be very close to the final production car.
A tribute to Ermanno Cressoni
Wed, 06 Jul 2005Last week the car design community suffered a great loss. Ermanno Cressoni or 'Arch' as many of his designers affectionately referred to him, passed away on Thursday 30th June in Milan after battling with cancer for 13 months.'Arch' was a reference in car design and his contribution to our profession was much more important than stated in the press. As Alfa Romeo Centro Stile Director he directed the Alfetta berlina, the famous chrome GTV grille from the early seventies is attributed to him, as is the Giuglietta sedan of the late seventies, the Alfa 33, the 75, and many of the racing Alfas we adore from the late 60s and early 70s.
