A beautiful and very hard to find Chevrolet Master Deluxe And Special Deluxe radio model 985793 that works and plays great. It is original 6-volt neg. ground. This is a very nice and rare restored 1942 Chevrolet radio manufactured by United Motors Service (Delco) model 985793. It is original 6-volt and also fits the 1946-48 Chevy's with only bezel and push button color differences. This single unit self-contained receiver has a new enclosed pm speaker which has great sound. Servicing and restoration included a thorough cleaning and lubrication, new capacitors, replacement of necessary resistors, tested tubes and a great working vibrator, alignment, a new fuse link with new fuse, a working dial lamp and a new sponge rubber speaker seal (boot). The radio plays and sounds great with nice clear sound quality, strong volume and good tone. The light dimmer also works, as it should. Cosmetically the radio is in excellent condition with the original brown bezel and push buttons that have been polished to look their best, nice clear lens and new knobs to complement this very nice original Chevy radio. There are a few imperfections on the plastic bezel but for its age the radio overall looks fantastic. 60mph speed limit plans axed in favour of smart motorways

Government plans announced early this year to reduce air pollution caused by vehicle emissions by reducing the speed limit on a 32-mile stretch of the M1 have been shelved. The proposals involved lowering the speed limit from 70mph to 60mph, from junction 28 of the M1, near Matlock in Derbyshire, to junction 35a, north of Rotherham. Hyundai goes K-Pop and releases an album

Hyundai has teamed up with Korean pop stars to create an album of music inspired by the new i40, New Generation i30 and Veloster. We’ve loved the way Hyundai has moved its products on from  Halford’s special to mainstream credible in quick sticks, and their PR teams have been on the ball too with good initiatives and a willingness to make things happen. But we’re not too sure how effective a new album of music by Korea’s K-Pop stars – inspired, we’re told, by the new i40, New Generation i30 and Veloster – is as a marketing tool.
