Duesenbergs sweep honors at Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance

Two of the 29 Duesenbergs on display at the 16th Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance took the Best in Show honors on Sunday at the gathering in north Florida. The Amelia Island concours awards two top honors, one for sporting cars and one for elegance. Harry Yeaggy's 1935 Duesenberg SJ Speedster, also known as the “Mormon Meteor,” won Best in Show Concours De Sport, while Helen and Jack Nethercutt's 1933 Duesenberg SJN Arlington Torpedo Sedan was awarded Best in Show Concours De Elegance.

As the exploratory name suggests, the Mercedes Marco Polo is for adventurous types who want to take their home with them on outdoor trips and camping holidays. Mazda has released these images of the Kiyora compact urban concept car the automaker will reveal at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Based on an all-new platform designed to maximize weight reduction, the Kiyora is claimed to represent the harmony between driving pleasure and environmental and safety features. Meaning 'clean and pure' in Japanese, the concept of 'Kiyora' helped the designers to imagine a city car cutting cleanly through an urban landscape, with water as the design theme.
