1946 1947 1948 Early1949 Chrysler Glove Box Hinge Assembly With Broken Spring on 2040-parts.com
Redmond, Oregon, US
Here is restored (glass beaded and primer painted Glove Box Hinge Assembly for 1946 thru very early 1949 Chrysler. Might apply to other years 1940 1941 1942 or other cars such as Dodge or DeSoto but probably only 1946-49 Chrysler Glove Box. Parts Books only show listing for entire Hinge Assembly, though you can disassemble them by bending a tab and extracting the hinge rod - the only way to remove or replace a broken spring. But, as they were apparently only sold as an "assembly", we have found no listing for only the spring. This spring is broken and we can't find replacements for these springs. Likely this is usable with broken spring or someone might easily make a usable replacement and save on the initial cost of buying a perfect hinge assembly. This is screw-in ready but would advise that it be lubricated in the hinge shaft before application for smoothest operation when installed. We won't apply lube before shipment. Anyone offering replacement springs for these hinges would be very appreciated to make contact. We will also advertise for your product in the listing.
